Re: cluster lense

What about using the headlight resto kits you can get at the parts stores or even WalMart? They are for plastic lenses...Mothers makes a plastic polish too.

Re: cluster lense

I have used 3M Finnessee-It polishing compound on my instrument panel lense and many other plastic lenses, such as tail lights and headlights. It works real well and can be found in many automotive paint supply stores. It can be done with a good rag and elbow grease or use a small buffer.

Re: cluster lense

Cool! Got any pics of how it turned out. I've used many different products before but the 3m very fine polishing compound worked best for me. I've never tried the Blue Magic compound. I'm curious as to how it looks.

Re: cluster lense

Just about any wax/polish combo works well I have found. It gets it back to 90%. if your looking for perfect then a new lens is the way to go. For the most part any improvement is better than none.

Re: cluster lense

Heres a pic, polished with the metal polish and drill speed buffer wheel.Sorry if the pic is crappy, that's the kind of camera I have. The cluster face (guage surround thing) isn't attached yet, that is why the guages don't appear centered.
