Trim Rings
Just got a new set of 33x10.50x15 tires for my 1970 Blazer. My Blazer definitely isn't a show truck, but neither is it a hard core trail rig. Just something I drive around town and occasional trips to the mountains. I had them mount the tires with the white letters out which I'm not sure I like or not it seems kind of busy with the chrome trim rings. Wonder if anyone else has an opinion?

Re: Trim Rings
I like the whites out for some reason, allthough I always mount them in, they kinda roll with the lower trim on your truck. As far as the trim I'm stuck. My 1970 blazer also has ralleys and i'm pretty sick of them, It seems the last 4-5 trucks i've owned has them. Maybe try with the center cap off with just chrome lugs? My 2 cents Mike.

Re: Trim Rings
I have the same tires (except in 33X12.50) with the letters out and rallies painted argent (silver). I really like the look.

Re: Trim Rings
If the rims were white I'd say no trim rings, but the trim rings set off black nicely, they also break up the black between the tire and rim.
I've even wheeled with them on. .

Re: Trim Rings
I think the trim rings are a must! I personally like just black wall, I think the white letters are the first thing you notice over the truck.

Re: Trim Rings
All personal preference. I prefer white letters in. They only look good when they're clean, and I don't care to scrub them every week, so in they go
Beauty rings are a toss up, and black wheels look okay on a 4x4 so that too is a toss up. I'm honestly not much of a fan of the newer ralleys on these trucks and the black kind of hides that. Personally since the tires are already mounted and balanced I'd just run with it and enjoy it as is |

Re: Trim Rings
Thanks guys guess I'm just going to go with it. Might get the tires switched down the road if I get tired of the white letters and get over the hit to the bank account.

Re: Trim Rings
Looks good with the trim rings. I go backwalls myself but looks good with the white letters. Nice looking ride. The only reason I go blackwalls is I hate to curb the white letters.

Re: Trim Rings
Just to close this out I decided to have the tires turned with the black walls out. I plan on taking my Blazer in the mountains and just wasn't convinced I could keep the white letters looking good. Discount Tire was slow this morning so they did it for me for 10 bucks per tire. Hate wasting money but the white letters just weren't doing it for me. Probably going to keep the trim rings off. I've had several old cars and this is my first old truck but they all seem to end up blacked out before I'm done with them. Guess it goes back to my Buick Grand National days just like the blacked out look.

Re: Trim Rings
I think it looks good either way, and I think the rings would look good either way as well.
