chemical dipping in PA, NJ or DE.

Hey gang, Not trying to open a discussion on chemical dipping because I know that is an endless discussion of pros and cons but I do want to know if there are any left around the eastern PA, NJ or DE areas. I know the redi-strip in Allentown has closed. I think a lot of these type of places are closing their doors due to environmental restrictions of the chemicals used but there must be some left. I have a boxed frame that I was thinking of dipping and possibly even having it galvanized. Any input on a local business would be great.

We had Redi-Strips over this way,but haven't heard anything about them in a long time. I assume they're gone

Re: chemical dipping in PA, NJ or DE.

Have you tried a google search? Put in something like redi-strip and the zipcode or a state.

Re: chemical dipping in PA, NJ or DE.

I have tried google searching by state and came up blank. There are lots of forum chats that pop up but the shops mentioned in this area are closed. Most of the places mentioned are redi-strip in Allentown PA. I was hoping someone knew of a place that may not have a website that they have worked with.

Re: chemical dipping in PA, NJ or DE.

Thanks for checking it out but Pittsburgh is just too far and Kwik-strip is also out of business. I can't believe that every fairly local dipper is gone.

Re: chemical dipping in PA, NJ or DE.

There probably is place closer. Start asking at body shops and suppliers. That place is 75 miles closer than Pittsburg, not quite as bad. Sometimes you have to travel for the right thing. Hopefully you'll find something closer. I stripped my own cab. It wasn't that bad using the strong stuff. Factory paint is tough stuff though.
