For all you leaf spring guys

I raised my front spring mounts up 2 inches to give me an extra 1" drop. Pretty easy to do and works great. Got the idea from another member but just made it to look alittle more factory.

Re: For all you leaf spring guys

EDIT: BTW, you posted this same thread 3 times, you should go back and delete the other two.

What style drop do you have in the back? Just shackles or a flip? I'm going to flip mine and I figure that's about as much drop as I can get without a C-notch. I bought some 1" lowering shackles I might use if I need just a TINY bit more. Nice job on this BTW.

I was contemplating boxing my frame on the inside and then moving the leafs inboard by remounting the factory brackets from left to right and vice versa on the new boxing plates. This would give TONS of clearance and you could mini-tub the bed (mine's a stepside) and this would allow for a BIG tire without narrowing the rear if you work your backspacing correctly.

Re: For all you leaf spring guys

For some reason it posted more than once. How do I delete them? The rear hanger are 1 1/2"drop shackles and have 4" drop springs for a total of 6 1/2" drop.

Sounds like a good idea.
