Wink Beautiful day...for a drive

I put 298 miles on the truck today. I drove it down to the beach for the car show. I filled up at home for $120.00 had to stop at 2 stations. I still have over a 1/2 tank of gas and it was a nice 5 hr ride. No major problems and the truck ran 80MPH turning 2300RPM's. I love the 700r4 with 4:10 gears.
Spotted this one coming into Garden City.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Nothing better than to drive the truck. Long drives are the best for sure!

If you want to see the car show pictures click the link.

Just that! I drove a 5 hr drive and the truck did great no problems at all so it should be ready to make the trip to Texas and back on the Pour Tour. I have been working on it for the past 2-4 months getting oil leaks and such fixed. I redid the dash put in a new shifter and other stuff.

Answer: No speeding tickets!

It doesn't get any better than that...spending the day in your truck on the hiway. I know you already plan to,but have yourself a great time at the run. I miss the Grand Strand, been way too long for me. For me it's a 400+ mile ride down I-95. I always went to Dillon and came in on 9 to decompress and get into the low country feel of things. I'd run my '71 down the interstate @75-80 with 4.10s and no O/D! It did have 33" tires that helped just a scosh.
Take mucho pictures

Tim, I have found here in SC most H/P want mess with you at 9-10MPH over the speed limit out on the interstate.
Check the link out later tonight. I have a bunch of pictures I'm going to start loading. I took as many as the camera battery would let me. I'm waiting on it now to recharge so I can start uploading.

Thumbs up Re: Beautiful day...for a drive

Well we got back to the beach house yesterday from the Bahamas! I just got back home in Liberty SC after a 5 hr ride. I drove the truck home and it performed well. One small issue but hope Speed Hut guages will take care of that next week. The fuel guage stopped working. Anyway got 450miles on the tank of gas going down last week and put 22 gallons in it today and drove it another 275 miles. I was happy with it over all and got a bunch of thumbs up from people today as I was passing them at 70mph in a 40 year old vehicle. That's a good feeling right there.

Man I can't wait for the Power Tour!

I have a 1993 Suburban tank in the bed area under the bed cover. I should be good to get around 600 miles on each tank of gas while on the power tour in June.
