Time To Get A New Battery

I put the Deka 650 CCA 524MF through it's paces over the build time and with another truck.

It's showing me it's pain. So, I'm off this morning to get another battery.

What are you all running? Better asked, what's the best battery to use?

I'm keeping the truck!

Re: Time To Get A New Battery

I went ahead and bought the Optima. It was more $$ but no acid on the inner fender and core support. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Time To Get A New Battery

Most batteries on the market today are supplied by one of three manufacturers, no matter what brand label they have on them. I sell auto parts for a living so I will not bash any competitor brand battery. A good rule is to buy a nationally recognized brand, that way if you are away from home and have a bettery issue, you can get some help with a replacement. That all being said, I am NOT a fan of reconditioned, rebuilt or remanufactured batteries. You get what you pay for. Longer month warranty does not always mean a better battery, just too many variables. Hope my rant helped some. Thanks, Fred.
