Cam choices

I was doin some heavy thinkin today and i decided this summer i would do a rebuild on my stock 350 the only mods ill do is a bigger cam and headers (maybe a new intake) but any way what would be the best cam to spice up a stock 350 without sufferin too much gas mileage and i dont want the idle to loop too bad

Re: Cam choices

some thing with an advertised duration of 268 or less, or for a better definition a duration of less than 224@.050 lift, i know they are dated but the edelbrock performer cams are good for an otherwise stock motor, my cousin had a dodge 1 ton 4x4 with a stock 318 in it and i had a perfomer cam sittin around so we put it in and it really woke that motor up!
