Headers for a bagged 66.... (I searched... I promise!!!!)
Ok, before I get flamed for this, yes, I have searched the board high and low.
Here we go! I have a bagged 66 SWB with a small block. I'm not dragging the ground with this truck. Its bagged with drop spindles and c-notch'ed, with about an inch or two clearance from the bottom of the front crossmember to the concrete. I would like to keep the exhaust tucked above the bottoms of the frame rails if I can. I also have a TH400 in the truck, so no linkage interference "should" exist (correct me if I'm wrong). Does anybody have a part number for some headers and pics of what I am searching for? Many thanks to y'all!!! |

I'm running a dropmember with bags and used the patriot clipster ceramic headers mid length for a Chevy Smallblock.. Think I got them from summit racing good quality fit well with no interference

Passenger side.. The headers come down at different angles for each side but no fitment issues and my truck lays frame in the front

No I wouldn't think so seems like plenty of room even with stock mounts... Not sure if anyone has tried them

I'm using the same headers on my truck, good clearance with the framerails and plenty of room to run a steering shaft with 2 knuckles.

Re: Headers for a bagged 66.... (I searched... I promise!!!!)
I have an aftermarket crossmember with its own motormounts. I can see where the stock mounts might interfere. Never thought about that.
