Re: 540 Hemi ?
Who cares if people shun you? I think we can all agree that the shunners of the world certainly aren't any better than the rest of us, if anything they are a step below.
I know nothing about a 540 hemi, but it sounds cool.

Re: 540 Hemi ?
Use it. But your in for one heck of a motor swap project. Mopars are fat blocks. But it would be different for sure!

Re: 540 Hemi ?
Why not! Dare to be different. Seems Chevy motors have been jammed into just about everything that moves on this earth (or flies around it) at one time or another. If you do it, PICS, PICS, PICS!

Re: 540 Hemi ?
Is this going in the same truck you burnt the wiring harness up in?? If you can afford to buy a big Hemi I think you should try a GM crate motor for your first motor swap.youll learn a lot from doing it and shouldn't be in over your head using factory parts.

Re: 540 Hemi ?
Don't waste it on a Mopar, put it in the truck, be different that is cooler than the same old norm or oh boy another LS swap. Hemi's are cool.

Re: 540 Hemi ?
Who care what they say? it is your truck. Key word here is your. We that are sensitive seem to forget that sometime me incuded. HEMI baby. I am not a Mopar fan but C'mon man you got to respect that thing!! It would make weaker men tremble at stoplights just from the rumble alone and the threat that it would present could cause accidents and I am not talking traffic. You got to do just for the stun factor!!
