73 el camino disc brakes?
Have any of you guys ever put a front crossmember out of a 73 El camino into our trucks? or is this better for the older trucks? 50-66?

El Camino, Chevelle, Monte Carlo, and a few others have the same chassis. They are kinda wide, I believe that a sub-frame from a Camaro would work better, but there's really no reason to sub-frame one of our trucks. Street rodders do it so they can have power steering, disk brakes, and an independent front suspension on a car that's so old it didn't come with any of these.

thanks for the info,
the reason I was asking, I just bought one for $300.00 runs and drives with a strong 350/350 accel distributor and american racing wheels. Just thinking ahead as who might be interested in the carcass.
