ECM in Engine Compartment
Thinking of putting my ECM on the left inner fender panel in the engine compartment. There just isn't enough room under the dash in the 55 chevy's and I can't mount it below the seats cause they slide forward for rear seat access (it's a suburban). I know the factory had them in the engine compartment, just wondering how many others have located them there.
Have heard the bracket from the S-10's will work for mounting the unit. Anyone used this and can post some photos. |

Yes it is fine to mount it under the hood. I've used the S-10 bracket on a previous swap.
I also used the S-10 holder in my jet boat.
