Testing drum brakes?
What is a easy way to test my drum brakes? Before I spent $$$$ on disk, I would like to test my rear drums.

I apologize... I was tired yesterday.
Yes, I would like to test my rear brakes. I have a feeling that the front disk are doing ALL the stopping. I was trying to figure out a way to test the rears...? Any ideas. Posted via Mobile Device |

I use a temp gun but a warm/hot drum after a drive is a good indicator.

Just remember the rear brakes only do like 20 to 30 precent of total braking.I would jack the truck up and try turning the drums by hand you should feel a tiny bit of drag.Unless you have a wheel cylinder leaking the drums will be in working order.

go at very high speed and jamb on emergency brake// that is all rear brake and will also test driver skill at the same time
