Headers, need good fitment??
Donut gasket is toast on my 350 ram style manifolds that are rusted to hell and back. Figured I might as well upgrade to some headers since the stock style 350 will be getting alittle work done over the summer. Maybe a 383 kit.
Truck is lowered too. I was looking at Dougs Y style headers or Sanderson shorties from Jegs. I want a mix of performance and fit first, cost is not a huge factor. I want 1 5/8 primaries with 2.5 collectors, then they will reduce to the 2in Flowmaster 40's then dump after axles. I will later update to 2.5 all the way back once he motor is built. Any help or opinions of what you guys run in these old trucks. Thanks |

Re: Headers, need good fitment??
I had Doug Thorely's on a previous truck that fit real nice. My current truck has a stock manifold and I have been looking at headers. I have heard the Sandersons are a real good fit too, but there are a few folks on the board with issues the Sandersons cracking. I am thinking of going with the Thorleys again, they have a real nice think flange that makes them less likely to leak.
