Mirrors and shoes

This past weekend I put new mirrors on and today got new shoes for the Jimmy both were needed really bad. hated not being able to look out the passenger side mirror also hated the style of them so I ordered me some new ones also Sunday I looked at my tires and noticed my right rear was separated so I got some new tires today BFG all terrains found out my old tires were 21 years old and does it ride a whole lot better before I couldn't drive any faster then 65 without it shaking really bad kind of scary now I can go as fast as I want with ease

Re: Mirrors and shoes

Congrats! I have the same tires and mirrors, only in the stainless version. The new shoes do make all the difference in ride quality. Looks great!!

Original mirrors are so much better looking!

When I had my 69 I put original mirrors back on it. I never knew if the mirror heads should sit vertically or horizontally.

Re: Mirrors and shoes

Thank you guys for the kind words I wasnt sure if I would like these mirrors. I had my heart set on the sport mirrors but was worried I wouldnt be able to see through them that well so thats why I decided on these mirrors. Now I think I like them more then the sport mirrors.

Yeah I wasn't sure if they went horizontal or vertical I tried both ways and seem to see more when they are horizontal

Re: Mirrors and shoes

Yep, looking good! I had that style mirrors on mine when I bought it, never did like them other than that they folded in. Have a new pair here just like yours that are going on my project. My 1970 Chevy sales publication shows every pic of them in the vertical position. Doesn't mean thats right for you, whatever works best. Won't know till I get my doors redone and get mine mounted! Keep up the progress!
