Resistors for gauges different??
Are the resistors for the fuel gauge and the Temp gauge different values? My fuel gauge isn't working properly after I put my cluster back together after painting it and for some reason my temp gauge keeps pegging to hot also. Both gauges worked before I took cluster apart. If I got the resistors backwards would this happen.
Thanks!! Shawn

It sounds like your temp guage is shorted.

The resistors are different between temp and fuel. ?They can also be different between gauge clusters by year as I have seen several variations. My first truck had a bad resistor on the fuel gauge--drove me nuts trying to get it to work till I exchanged it with another one---fixed!!
