Re: how to mount alternator??

First of all, you're kind of new here, and I know you're frustrated about getting your truck going, so people will cut you some slack. But to say "73 people have looked any only one helped me" is not the best way to get information you're looking for.

When you post asking for help, you should give as much information as you can that applies to the situation. What vehicle, engine, accessories, and those kinds of things can really help formulate a response. Pictures are also very helpful - kind of like, this is what I have, what do I need.

Oh, and those other 72 people who looked at your post- they looked to see if they could help you. This board is a very nice place, so please don't show disrespect for your fellow board members.

To add to this, the 292 is probably the least used engine in these trucks,so many don't have the answer. They are all learning stuff daily also.Theres someone who can help, just be patient and post as much info and pics to help them help you.

Re: how to mount alternator??

The reason you got viewers with no response is because the topic says "how to mount alternator?" Most of the viewers here have a V8 alternators but the 292 is not a common engine on the these trucks.

I did a quick google search on "Chevy 292 alternator mounting" and got a hit that my help you. You could also pm some of the members that have a 292 to see if they can send you some pics of the mounting bracket.
