Question tailgate mods

Does anyone know of a fleetside tailgate handle relocater kit for the 67-72 trucks and blazers??? or have any cool ways of doing this mod??? if so can you post some pics please

Sir michael's has em I think they are about 50 bone's... I was planning on ordering on for my 72 , but have not done it yet..

i think i ordered mine through LMC or Chevy Duty but it was quite a while ago. they shouldnt be hard to find

gabet40, did you have to use a filler panel or could you have just welded up the handle opening? i don't want to use a filler panel on the gate that i'm working on. just want to shave it and move it to the inside.

yeah i moved the handle to the inside with the kit that they make just for our trucks. then i put the cover over the outside. the cover is over the entire tailgate and has a lip that hangs over the inside of the top, i think it looks a lot better than the filler panel that just covers the middle. plus the body shop did a great job of filling in all the edges so you can barely tell its on there besides the extra width of the sheet medal
