Engine block numbers
I am certain the restored '68 I bought has the original 327 in it that was rebuilt in '07 - however, there are no numbers etched on the pad in front of the right cylinder head. Is that normal at all?

If the machine shop machined the deck surface, that would wipe the stamped code off. It will be on the passenger side front.

check driver side just below the head at the firewall block numbers will be there

That is probably it - passenger side front. Ill check in back by the firewall for the casting numbers. Thank you
