Drive shaft ????

I currently have a two piece shaft. I want to change it out for a One Piece.... For my LWB. Do I need to stay with a certain year (1987) because of the 700R4 or just find one from a LWB , maybe a BURB ???? And swap it out ?????

Re: Drive shaft ????

I believe there are a few variables. If you found a truck with a th350 and a 6" tailshaft, with the same differential, it (correct me if I'm wrong) should fit... Otherwise you are best getting a shaft from an identical drivetrain. I believe 700r4's were used as an option from 83 and on in gas jobs.
