Found it in Plaistow - it spent the first 37 years of it's life in Dorchester, MA.

I couldn't live with the bowtie, so I swapped the hood lettering over tonight and rattled canned the new hood red

Also pulled out the carb filter ... yuck!

Re: I have the sickness... buying a new truck

I see the K10 looks to have a plow mount. Do you drive that truck every day in the snow or just use it on your own property for plowing?

Nice truck - I love the old one tons!

That's a great find. The hood looks better than expected. One thing you can count on,rattle can paint will be just as faded in a few years

I plow my own property with it, but I do drive it year round. Thanks to the old SM465/T221 combo the whole underside of it is coated with oil! Part of the reason I bought the 1 ton is so the K10 can get a new floor pan and rockers this summer, and I'm going to galvanize everything underneath it and undercoat. I hate rust!

I used a satin finish and sprayed it cold, so it dried pretty flat already - I don't think it will take long at all to ago
