Emissions delete question
This was on the top of my intake I assume it's emissions related ,if it is what's the best way to delete it? If it's something else or I need to keep it feel free to let me know. The motor is a 2003 LQ9 out of an Escalade.

Re: Emissions delete question
If I leave it do I need to plug it with something or just leave it open to the elements? I'd rather remove it and plug the hole in the intake, if anybody knows a good remedy for doing this feel free to let me know.

Re: Emissions delete question
The purge valve is normally closed. So, you can just remove the hose from it and leave the valve connected to the intake. You can also run a pipe tap in the hole and use a pipe plug to close it off. I can't remember off the top of my head if it's a 3/8 or 1/4 pipe tap, but its obvious because only one of those sizes will fit in the hole.

Re: Emissions delete question
I removed it and bought a rubber oil plug from orylies. It works just like a rubber freeze plug but its only 1/2 round its like a mini. Looks a lot cleaner

Re: Emissions delete question
I used an A/C compressor plug. It comes with a new A/C compressor outlet. I had one lying around. You cold probably just ask your local parts store to take one off a core. Good luck.
