Air Bag Brackets for my 71 C10

I've done some reading through other threads about air bag brackets but I'm getting conflicting messages.

I have a 1971 C10 with the coil spring suspension on front and back.

1) Do you need brackets on the rear? Some are saying yes to get correct ride height and some are saying no. The person that said yes you need them was a vendor so I assume he is saying this to make a buck.

2) Where are you getting your bracket kits? I see front ones at Suicidedoors and a few other places. Who has the best ones and best price? When I have looked I have only found front bracket kits and nothing for the rear.

i'm also interested in this. i'm gonna convert from leafs to trailing arms. i thought the air bag replaced the coil spring without any other brackets.

No bracket needed for the rear.
Actually,... I use a lowering block also,... so my truck won't look stock at ride height.
Most people use a 2600 bag front and rear,... but some run a 2500 bag in the rear for less lift at the same pressure.

www.***************** has great prices on front bag plates and lower a-arm cups.

I like Slam Specialties bags. The re-7 or ss-7 versions of their 2600 bags.
AirLift Dominators are also an affordable choice.

Look at or site vendors for your air ride needs.

I would run the PB 2" drop trailing arms.

Keith- Do you have a picture of your rear setup? Where is the block in all of this?

I have no idea where Enumclaw is.
Here's a picture of my rusty blazer with a 2" block, bolt-in c-notch, and a Slam Specialties RE-7 bag.

No brackets needed.
Use 3/8"x4" bolt thru the trailing arm with a HD washer.
Drill 2 mounting holes and 1 air fitting hole in the frame.

what if your bags have dual mounting holes in the bottom then how do you attach to trailing arm?

I used dominators 2600 they have 3 holes in the bottom.i used 1 bolt through the trailing arm to the center hole of the bag.

do you have to run a tank with air ride. I'm just wanting it to keep it ride height not really interested in running it up and down.

Tank isn't really required. Just run lines off your bags to schrader valves and pump it up until you reach a ride height you like. It's a cheap solution for riding on air.
