Re: New to the forum , first C10 build
I sat and thought it over and the truck has decent patina and I kinda like the character/originality/ of the truck.the original paint has lost its luster and the interior is all original and complete.
I think the contrast of that with the dramatic stance you get with air ride will go together well. Plus ive got my hands full with paint and body on the chopped shoebox. Itll be cool to have something rough around the edges since my shoebox is the other end of the spectrum Posted via Mobile Device |

Joining the party a little late, but Welcome!
Truck looks great and I like where you are heading. If you still are interested in what was available from the factory on these things (engines and such) here is a link to the free downloadable info packets from the GM Heritage Center archives: http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-h...tion-kits.html and for a '70 Chevy pickup: http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/docs...olet-Truck.pdf K

Re: New to the forum , first C10 build
Thanks Keith!!
Anyone want to help me come up with a checklist on where to start and an order to procede? Im gonna go pick it up this weekend. Gonna start by a super thorough cleaning , get all the dirt that has piled up over the years of sitting, clean the interior and unbolt the running boards, front bumper guard. motor/tranny "should" be mechanically sound but you guys could let me know whatd be good to do for them after sitting so long. I figured after its cleaned , tackle making, it run /drive/stop. Then do the the full air ride setup. Haha ill have to get used to 3 on the tree! Posted via Mobile Device |
