Gas+oil=reduced cylinder wear?

Common cause for flat tappet engine rebuilds are worn out cylinder walls.
I suppose the causes are: gas washing oil off cylinder walls, carb boiling over, dry cylinder walls from extended shut down, high tension rings, pumping gas pedal during cold start, inadequate air filter, thick oil, bad oil, rich carburetor, excessive cold starts.

I find it interesting that once a car starts burning oil the cylinders continue to wear even though the combustion mix is full of oil. Perhaps oil quickly goes bad from blow by?

I wonder if 2 stroke engines suffer less cylinder wall wear than it's 4 stroke equivalent?

I'm wondering if adding 2 stroke oil or motor oil to gas would reduce cylinder wall wear?
