Re: Big Red Dog

Repairing them is alot better than trying to get some of those china fenders to fit.. They turned out pretty well... Ill have pics of them in primer tomarrow I hope.

Re: Big Red Dog

Troy, those patches look real smooth. Not a hiccup anywhere. I like them. Looking forward to the fender in primer.

Dave.

Re: Big Red Dog

Great work, man. I'll definitely be following this one. One question, though. You've been doing this for quite awhile, do you trust buying a repop inner fender? from what I've read on several threads they are considered one of the worst fitting repop parts out there. I'm pretty new at this so I value the opinions of you more experienced builders.

Re: Big Red Dog

I'm not really wanting to buy a new one but the problem being the hours I would put into the old one might far outweigh the price of a new one with some fitment issues. I would rather keep the old ones so I need to do more digging on these to see how far the rust goes! The brace under the front will need fabricated but I could order the nose patches for them, the other issue area is where it bolts to the core support on the worst one has some issues too. I know I don't like the re pop fenders so I can imagine how the inners are! Thanks for keeping an eye on this build, will be lots of pics soon.
