spring eye bolt question

Replacing the leaf bushings and after taking out my aggressions via grinder, torch, and hammer, of course, there's not much left of the spring eye bolt.
I happen to have the correct size bolts in stainless, however they are coarse thread and not fine like what was there. I know the fine threads would probably hold better although with the stainless I'll be using a nylock nut and (maybe?) a lock washer.
any input?

Re: spring eye bolt question

Are they long enough to double-nut the bolt, also

Re: spring eye bolt question

The ones that were on there had a spacer (about 1/4") with the nut, if I exclude that spacer, then two might fit but i'll have to give it a shot and see.
