Carb mounting/ 250 rebuild kit

Few quick questions for the neighborhood brains on here. Just picked up a practically new Turbo 400 and some JDM A-arms upper/lower! Starting to finally get some parts together.

1. Wanting to run an edlebrock 500 electric choke (jetted down). To mount on my stock intake is there a bracket or plate of some sort? Or will I need an aftermarket intake that sets farther away from the engine for clearance? If so please point me in the right direction.

2. In regards to a full rebuild kit for the 250 4.1L.....WHICH ONE? There's alot out there and they are SO freaking affordable, that little voice in my head says "you get what you pay for". Im trying to make this truck as reliable as a truck should be, any other internals right off the bat worth replacing while in there?

Any help is much appreciated!

Jay

Re: Carb mounting/ 250 rebuild kit

Incredible..... No one?

Decided: holley 390, offenhauser 4bbl intake, flowtech headers, 4/6 drop, all around disc brakes (which ones)

On the fence: 307 flat tops

Undecided: REBUILD KIT (I'm frugal), cam

Restoring a 69 c/10 step, first rebuild ever. 250 straight 6 bolting up to a TH400
