LMC fuel tank

Has any one installed a fuel tank from LMC in their truck? Will you post some pics if you have. My filler neck seems to be very tight on the frame and I'm just wondering if i need to bend it.

if your talking about the blazer tank i put on in. they had to notch the frame a little. I don't have any pictures

Sorry yes the blazer tank. I was looking at notching the frame, but i wanted to avoid that if possible.

My son ordered the blazer kit for his '70 and we decide to build a custom stainless tank. If anyone out there is looking for a new kit for a reduced priced let me know.

Iam interested , do u have some pictures of how it fits in ur truck ?how many gallons is it.

I will take a few pictures tomorrow, I'm not sure how many gallons it is, you mat be able to find that info at LMC. It looks like it sits on the bottom edge of the frame rail, then 2 tank straps tighten it down. It comes with a sending unit also.

I didnt order the Blazer tank for my 72 c10 swb stepper, but I can tell you that the one they sell as a frame tank supposedly designed for our trucks as a bolt in is a total waste of money. I had to cut over an inch out of the top and the sending unit, then after almost 3 months of messing with it to get it to seal back up, I just gave up and went with a Boyds Aluminum. Wow, what a builder......for what I had invested in the LMC tank.....I could have had theirs in the first time and had it right.

If all else fails, spend the $500 and get the right tank with all plugs, sending unit, drain,....and BUILT EXACTLY to fit perfect.
