No spark 72 c10 with hei

A few years ago I installed a skip white hei and a new engine harness from brothers with the hei mod already done in my 350 and it started fine a few times. Then we tore the truck apart for paint. I recently reinstalled everything. Last week I started the truck for the first time after paint and everything worked OK. I drove the truck down to my barn and it was idling while I added trams fluid. It died and would t start. Pulled a plug wire and installed a spark checker inline, no fire. I checked the power wire at the dist, no power. I ran a jumper from the battery to the dist and the truck fired up (?) I am going to pull the harness from the dist block next weekend and check it as I can't figure out why I'm not getting power to the dist with a new harness. I checked and it hasn't gotten pinched, etc that I can see. Does anyone have any ideas?

Did you check for any blown fuses?

Try back probing the ignition switch at the connector. Verify power there then work through the circuit.

Re: No spark 72 c10 with hei

I was thinking I might have a bad ignition switch. Thanks!

No fuses on the ignition circuit, to the best of my knowledge.
