Re: NOS Cab Roof Marker Clearance Light Kit
Reno,
im sure they could be mounted on a regular roof but the angle might make them look strange. the raised clearance pads are level (give or take) with the ground. that being said, if you get them and dont like the way they look when you mock them up on your roof, i would take them for what you paid. $235 is a fair price but even my offer is a stretch for me this week. Dave

Re: NOS Cab Roof Marker Clearance Light Kit
These work and look just fine on a regular 67-72 top. I always wondered why GM made a special top panel for these lights. 73-87s don't have flat tops and they sit just fine.

RenoKeene here is what they look like w/o roof stands.
David Freiburger is selling his 68 Burbon that somebody added the clearance lights to at some point. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968-...item19d9d770c1

Re: NOS Cab Roof Marker Clearance Light Kit
^ Those are the pre-69 style/Yankee 77s that never did sit on roof pods and, although they were sold as GM accessories, were actually generic and fit on any truck. I have installed the 69-91 style in 67-72s before. The pigtail fits tight. IIRC,I raised the bulb socket on the base to allow room. This was a long time ago,but I know they worked one way or another.
