Wheel/Tire Swap? What you guys think??

McCoy did a wheel swap in photoshop. The back tire is a little off but gives you the idea. Do you guys think I should stay with the late model 2500HD rims or go black steelies and look for original caps? I need to get a rear spacer anyway so I could put the caps on the back with both sets of wheels. I already bought a set of 16x7 F**D wheels to have blasted and powder coated black.. What do you guys think??? I'm kind of digging the black wheels. I would also probably go with the white walls.

Me personally I'd leave them black, but they'd probably look good with white letters, too.
Or you could do blackwalls on left and white letters on right...people can only see one side of the truck at one time...

My opinion is the black rims and hubcap are great but raised white letter tires are for muscle cars not trucks.

Re: Wheel/Tire Swap? What you guys think??

I have to agree with most so far. Black with the caps will look best......I never liked newer factory style wheels swapped over to old trucks. They just dont have the same appeal.

I dont have RWL tires on my cop Tahoe or my 72 which has Cooper Cobras on it.

Okay I just reread my post. I am okay with the black rims and chrome caps but do not like RWL tires on our trucks.

Re: Wheel/Tire Swap? What you guys think??

I agree with ditching the new style factory wheels... Black steelies match the roof and the rest of the truck.... What about a set of stainless trim rings?

Thanks for the edit. I know most say no white letters but I kind of like it. Decisions Decisions....

Didn't think about the trim rings. Problem is I bought F**d wheels. Will stainless rings go on those or will I have to get the 16x6.5 Chevy steelies??
