Alternator upgrade opinions
I'M THINKING OF UPGRADING THE STOCK ALTERNATOR ON MY TRUCK. IM CURRENTLY RUNNING A HOLLEY BLUE ELECTRIC PUMP, DUAL ELECTRIC FANS, A 2000 WATT AMP., 2 12" SUBS, AND HID LIGHTS. AT NIGHT WITH EVERYTHING ON AT A STOP LIGHT MY LIGHTS DIM AND MY VOLTS GAUGE READS 11 SOMETIMES LOWER.I'M THINKING OF DOING THIS KIT. ANY THOUGHTS ON IT?WOULD THIS EVEN WORK?

Re: Alternator upgrade opinions
No problem. I'm not an electrical guru but isn't the rebuild kit pretty much returning your alternator to "like new condition"? Which means it will still only output the current it was rated at? With all of those electrical components I'd look into a higher output alternator instead of rebuilding the one you have.

Re: Alternator upgrade opinions
You can check auto parts stores around you. They have alternators for about $120. It is not $35 but they do come with a warranty. You can always give it a shot though. Worst that happens is you are right back where you were and $35 lighter.
