Power Steering ???

I have a 52' half ton Chevy. 350 SBC for motor. 80's Blazer steering column, and put a 73 Nova front clip under the pickup. I'm completely clueless on how to put power steering on the pickup. Can anyone help? Are there universal kits I can just bolt the box to my frame and get a new pitman arm? Or does everything have to be modeled for my front clip? Any help would be highly appreciated... Especially if someone can send me a link of what power steering setup would work. Thanks.

Re: Power Steering ???

Most of the aftermarket catalogs have power steering kits for 52 Chevys, but with the Nova front clip, I don't know. Try Brothers, Jim CarterClassic Parts, etc. I think you'll need to talk to them to make sure it will work.

Re: Power Steering ???

Just get a power steering box from a nova, hoses and pump. I think 73-79 are the same. Your local parts guy can look in the computer before you go looking at junk yards.

Re: Power Steering ???

I stand corrected 73-74 were rear steer boxes, 75-79 were front steer so check these for your application

Re: Power Steering ???

The power steering boxes for the 67-69 Camaros and the 68-74 novas will interchange as well as their sister cars from olds, Pontiac , and buick. Just remember to hunt for those years.

Re: Power Steering ???

I take it I will have to get a different pitman arm? Anything else?
