Re: Butternut yellow/white truck?. Any pics?
There's a guy somewhere around here that has a yellow/white 71 or 72 that looks really sharp. I don't think it's the butternut, because it's a bright yellow. If I can find it I'll get a picture and post it.

Re: Butternut yellow/white truck?. Any pics?
The Camaros, Chevelles and Novas had "Butternut Yellow". On the trucks, I beleive it was caled "Lemonwood". Pontiac had the same color, but with a different name. All three were the same color, but with different names.

I would stay with the Hawaiian blue/white. My burb is grapefruit/white and I love it, but both of these colors are great and I would keep it original.

Quote:
This color is light yellow, nicknamed Grapefruit, I don't think there was a direct equal to the car Butternut for the trucks, at least not in 71 and 72. Check my build for more pictures...

Re: Butternut yellow/white truck?. Any pics?
Thanks guys. Green/white, Ochre/white, Red/white...I think they all look awesome. I will be bringing the truck into the paint shop this weekend to begin the sanding process. It will probably be a last minute decision as to which color to choose. If I do go with yellow, I'll have to change the door panels, headliner, carpet, seat belts and dash pad to either parchment or black. Blue would be the most practical color since my interior is blue. With that said...blue will always be in the running. Orange has always been my favorite since I do own a 69 orange Camaro. Now I'm confusing myself again.
Funny thing is...my wife is bugging me to paint the truck now vs leaving it as is. I'd rather keep the money and put it toward some airbags and AC!!!

Re: Butternut yellow/white truck?. Any pics?
I am interested in the tire and wheel size also, lowering specs also. My vote on the paint is......If it is the original paint (never repainted) I would try to leave it alone....if it is presentable....If you cant live with it ....I would repaint it the original colors .........only my opinion though

Re: Butternut yellow/white truck?. Any pics?
i believe it's butternut, but don't quote me on that! Gives you a good idea what yours would look like. I'm an all original fan also, but it's your truck, do what you think you'll like the best. This truck was featured in a mag several years ago (1st pic) then I saw it down at the LA Roadster show a few years back also (2nd pic).
