It's like watching a birth, only less messy.
Was that on craigslist? I am pretty sure I was checking it out online somewhere too.

Re: Wife's new Blazer arrived today
The whole story is beginning to unfold now that it's here.
I found an add for the truck online. A dealer in Dallas had it. He got it from somone in West Virginia who I think was the guy who built it. Everything points to that anyway. It's a damned nice driver quality truck. 383 in it from a builder in Portland, Oregon. Needs some of the trim work tightened down, the idle is a bit high, fuel sending unit needs adjusted... few other things that need tinkering with, but all and all I think we did good. Paint is good, not perfect, but shines real nice. Most of the bright work is new. The best part is that is sounds like a million dollars. They got the exhaust down right, no question there. Shipped with the original numbers matching engine and tranny. It also has a brand new transfer case. It's going to be my wifes daily. |

Also... the wood grain vinyl sticker stuff, that needs to redone. It wasn't applied very well at all.

Re: Wife's new Blazer arrived today
Nice rig. I wouldn't trust my wife to drive something like that. She'd wad it up in no time flat, like she does with every other car she drives. lol

Re: Wife's new Blazer arrived today
PPG Hugger Orange.
Thanks guys. Wife loves it, and I really love it too... It's at the shop right now. Turns out that the cam they put in it is way to large and allows the vacuum to drop to much at idle which really effects the braking power. Too much for my wife to feel comfortable driving it, so we're having them put a milder cam in it. Also needed new ball joints and tie rods so we're having that done too. I have some other questions about the rig as well, but I'll save them for another thread. Thanks for all of the replies. We're very excited. |
