I May be coming back over here..........
I may be stepping back into the K5 ranks very soon. Ran across a guy with a stripped out 90' K5, that he is looking to get rid of. The truck is missing all of the following: front clip, doors, top , tailgate, interior, glass, and drive train. Basically just the rolling tub on the frame. The kicker what makes this my good fortune is..........it's free. All i have to do is haul it away.
I will post up some pictures on Sunday night when I go look at it. If no title on the tub, no bother. Just buy a new tub. All I really wanted was the frame to replace the 2wd Blazer that I sold to 87duallyburb back in 2010. Have to keep this at work for the time being so Momma doesn't make me start sleeping the bed of my truck in the garage. My 82' SWB may just have to go now. That is one too many projects...........

Hope it works out. Every square fan should have at least one K5 at home.

Re: I May be coming back over here..........
A few pics on the new toy. I have not started a build thread for this yet. I need to unload my swb before I can offically drag this home. I am on the hunt for a few things (windshield, instrument cluster, tailgate, top, rear seat). It's a good start though and comes with a Va. title which is key. I think a 2wd conversion is in order courstesy of donor parts from my swb. I might just have to convert this to a manual transmission since I have everything for it ready to go sitting in the swb. I am going to stick with the color combo and do a saddle interior from 77-80. Might have ot shoot the whole truck the darkest Brown I can find our black..................

Re: I May be coming back over here..........
A few rust issues to take care of. What is the best way to replace the vertical support over the front rear spring hanger on both sides? I relize I need a new tail pan due to the rusted out mounts. Where is the best place to get one? I saw that 73-87chevytrucks.com has the best price @ $129.95
