Is there any advantage to using polyurethane cab mounts?

I need to replace the rubbers on my 68 C20 and I am looking at stock vs poly.

OEM grade rubber lasts decades so that's what I'd buy.

Poly lasts also but it's too stiff for many non-performance applications.

Rubber. These trucks were made right the first time. Poly body mounts barely cushion and that's the purpose of body mounts

I ordered rubber last night. Now I will wait a week and then get at changing them.

I ordered a full set of mounts, front and rear cab and rad support.

While I was doing research, it appeared that GMC Paul's had the most complete kit for mounting.

I chose to go to a local company for expediency though.

It all depends on what your purpose for the truck is. Like a few have said, the poly mounts are insanely stiff, that's done on purpose. Want to do some pro-touring? Go poly! Want to drive down the freeway? Go rubber! Most of my cars are drag builds, I want everything to stay in place and move only when told, I go poly. My truck is something for me to enjoy everyday, rubber without a doubt.

If you're going poly, energy suspension is great in my opinion. They held up fine, even when dragging along a wall at 138mph. For rubber mounts, factory grade is by far the best, but there don't seem to be many people making them. I wish I could be more help with the rubber mounts, but I have mostly gone poly, or factory. I would suggest LMC since I bought a set for a project back in the day, but I can't really say anything about them since I sold the car right after putting them on. Plus I've heard some people complain about LMC and them cracking. All I do know is that I would NEVER put some ebay cheapos on my truck!

we have poly on all ours and dont get the harsh ride everyone is talking about, my wifes truck is the smoothest riding old truck ive ridden in.

I can buy that.
Poly is much stiffer than rubber but you may have relatively low rate springs, reasonable tires, soft seats, etc to help absorb the bounces.
