power drum master and booster for disc?

has anyone used the stock power drum booster and dual master cylinder with a disc brake swap on a 3/4 ton? seems to me it should work with a different prop. valve right?

I don't see any problem with the booster as long as you can bolt a disc master cylinder up to it. On the master cylinder you will want to go with a disc master cylinder because you need more flow for the larger volume of fluid required by the calipers.

The booster will work ok, but I think the valving (front piston) in the disc master cylinder is larger because it moves more fliud than a drum cylinder as opposed to a caliper. And yes, a new prop valve is needed. If you don't care about originality, you can easily get an adjustable wilwood prop valve,

I found out the hard way the drum brake master cylinger has a built in 3lb. residual pressure even when no pressure on the pedal to keep tension on the springs. Translates to constant pressure on the piston in the caliper. So pads are always dragging on the rotor.
