I am about to install my timing chain, and I was wonder what is best for a 72 3/4 ton with a 350. Should I advance it for more low end, or retard it for top end? Or do these trucks go just fine with it set normally?

The instructions with the performance cam you have should specify if it will perform better with a change from stock. If not, I would line up the marks and bolt er' in. You can play with the timing later for different results also.

I have a Crane 266 cam in there, I will read and see what it says tomorrow when I get back to the shop...

I ALWAYS JUST SET EM NORMALLY (0 DEGREES) AT INSTALLATION, & ADJUST ACCORDING TO YOUR ALTITUDE WHEN IT'S BACK TOGETHER. JOHN
