vin numbers

can anyone help me with this vin #??
CS10DZB21741

yr, make, model, etc.
any help would be great.
looked it up in American Classics .com but it gave me 196D as the year, no make or model, engine was a 6 cyl. 1/2 ton. some help please. Thanks Dwayne

it has a gmc core support, but the vin decoder wouldnt tell. i got the truck for free and want to see what it is. the hood is a 67/68 chevy hood.

I think it's a GMC VIN which makes it tougher to decode. Someone here has a GMC decode sheet. It may be Longhorn Man but I'm not sure.

The Z tells me it was built in Freemont plant and it's a 6 cylinder truck. That's all I can decode for you.

S = six cyl
1= 1/2 ton
0D = fleet side box pickup
Z = Fremont assembly plant
B = 1968
21741 = sequential part of vin number.

Looks like a GMC vin from 68 to me.

I needed the info so i new what i was starting for my next project. the truck was givin to me for free, not alot there but enough for me to get started. the truck was sone to be junked and i saved it. hope to make it nice some day, my wife was about to kill me when she found out. i haul cars for a living so i just made room for it on one of my trips. will get started as soon as i get my motor back in my 67. i think im going to leave this one 2wd. LOL. will be looking for parts so i'll be posting soon. thanks again. Dwayne
