Classic Parts SCAM - LIED to me 3x on 1 call.....

Please don't do business with the liars at Classic Auto Parts.

They will NOT hesitate to LIE to you if they are not sure......they
will have you authorize payments for service and then provide FAR INFERIOR service to what they quoted you on.

I have called them only a few times and I have been lied to multiple times......had one of 2 orders completely ignored and been quoted a price and then overcharged for a lesser service than authorized!!

THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CALLS FROM THE US on thier 800 phone line.
I talked to Robert the Gneral Mgr and he says they provide 800 phone service ONLY to the areas they can afford!! REALLY!!???

BUY YOUR PARTS ELSEWHERE unless you HAVE to shop with these liars ans scammers.

Me too, I have had excellent CS from them, I have used them for over 20 years. I definitely will keep my eyes open though, thanks for tha warning.

I am sure they have gotten some orders right, can't stay in business if you screw everyone......but I can assure you that based on the way they treated me.....they ARE losing business. Sometimes a company gets comfortable and loses sight of CUSTOMER SERVICE.
CPA is making enough money on EASY sales to give a crap about the sales that may require an IQ point or some actual HELPING A CUSTOMER. Typical BAD ATTITUDE parts counterman mentality.
I worked in the Auto Service Industry for 20yr and these guys want to make some easy sales and collect thier checks imo. There aren't that many parts on these old trucks......you think that they would be able to use thier energy to HELP CUSTOMERS....they certainly aren't required to spend much mental energy selling the same 72 parts over and over and over........plus thier general manager is an excuse maker that would rather interupt you on the phone than listen and try to solve a proble. He's the one who told me that HE WAS PAYING THE SHIPPING AND IT WASN'T ANY OF MY BUSINESS HOW THEY SHIP......this is of course after authorizing a specific shipping service at a specific price......PAID BY ME!! He was way too defensive of his sales rep's poor service and flat out non-truths.....he admitted to having them lie about thier phone policy because he is not proud of it - he would rather BS us than provide service that he could be proud and honest about - I hope the few $$ he is saving is worth it.....and it probably is.....but that doesn't make it right to lie to a customer who is only trying to trade money for parts......I did not get into the parts biz....HE DID.

I'll keep my eyes open on this one and beware. However, I can't stop doing business with a company because of one disgruntled buyer and only hearing one side of the story.

Just BEWARE of these guys......if they see a chance to make an excuse or if lying to you is easier - THEY WILL.

...I was not treated fairly or with respect.....maybe you appreciate getting lied to when you are parts shopping - I DO NOT!!

Bottom line.....I have worked with dozens of parts guys and there are 'Great' - 'Good' - and 'I don't care about you or your part and would rather lie to you and overcharge you than be honest'.....I got the third version plain and simple.

These Forums and review section are for talking about good and bad experiences if I am correct.....so I have told you guys what happened and there has been ZERO exaggeration of the facts.
I absolutely dared Robert to play the phone call back with the owner of CPA

They may make 98% of thier customers happy - but they sure struck out with this one.

I e-mailed yesterday to get the 'Priority' tracking info - NO RESPONSE cause they charged me for Priority and then sent Parcel Post - THIEVES. If you go for pizza and order large and get medium how many of you would say something??

I have had good results out of them over the years. Your situation is unfortunate. It only takes one employee having a bad day to change ones overall perception of any business. I hope they correct your/their problems.

Are Classic Parts and Chevy Duty the same? Maybe changed their name when GM started suing everyone over using their name?
