On a side note, we had to postpone our leave. We would have been down in Spokane on the 24th of this month, but now it looks like we are pushed back to the July-August time frame now.

I think what you are seeing is the incandescent light bulb hitting the metal, which appears in the yellow spectrum as opposed the halogen of the camera flash which IIRC is in the blue=white spectrum.
