Sanderson CC11 headers

Has anyone got these to work? Sanderson claims they should work, but every vehicle is a little bit different. I have about a 1/4" clearance to the engine mount bracket on the driver's side, the passenger side touches on my 'test fit', will get worse after bolts are snugged (maybe 1/4" interference).

It's the 'bulge' of the bracket that's in the way. How much clearance is ideal/minimal? Does anyone know of some brand with more header clearance? Or engine mounts that sit the whole engine maybe 1/2" higher? If so, is it an 'easy swap', i.e. lift the engine slightly to replace without a removal? I'm a machinist, thinking of making my own, but don't want a time consuming project if there's an easy fix I'm overlooking.

Here's the side that is o.k., but you can see where the tube is close. That's where the problem is at on the other side.

Re: Sanderson CC11 headers

The Sandersons that Early Classic Enterprises sells clears just fine. I think they are the CC10's. You can find them on their website. I'm running them with no problems.

Re: Sanderson CC11 headers

Thanks. Just looked at their site. They have their own numbering system (no CC#), but they look like the ones I have. Might have to call Sanderson...

Re: Sanderson CC11 headers

When I called to order these, (like a year ago), I recall Mark, from ECE, telling me they were the #10 model. Hope this helps.

Re: Sanderson CC11 headers

I bought the Sanderson headers a few years back from Early Classic and they didn't work for me either. I ended up with Stan's Headers made right in the beautiful state of Washington.

Re: Sanderson CC11 headers

Soon to find out if the CC11 fit my 72. These were recommended by another forum member who is using them.

Re: Sanderson CC11 headers

If I'm not mistaken the CC11 are for "D" port heads. That may be the only difference between them and the CC10?
