2 into 1 Thoughts ?

ok i found out today my blazer is falling apart body wise , Ive known for a while but today it finally hit me its all junk up top BUT under it it has detroit lockers heavy duty axles a bulletproof transfer case and a solid frame with a 6 inch lift ....my 71 c10 2wd isnt big enought Height wise for me so what im getting at is what if i swapped the cabe on the blazer chassis along with the front end an cut the bed down to all fit on the blazer frame cause id like to have a 4x4 K10 What are yalls thoughts ?

im thinkin on it the only thing holding me back is the 5 mpg the blazer gets and the fact i wanna keep my 71 original .... i guess i could do this with my parts 70 cst right ?

It's been done before. Just keep in mind that if you're going to have the cab and bed completely seperate that it's going to be a really short short bed.

If I had your predicament, I would transfer my Blazer suspension and drive train into the 2wd long bed. Then all you would need to do is have the correct rear drive shaft and you would have a nice 71 LWB 4x4.

I think I have seen a shortened bed to fit on a blazer frame. Not for me. I prefer 4x4's to be long beds.

This is only my opinion however.
