All normal GM distributors, look at it from the top, whatever way the vac hose nipple is pointing is the direction you turn it to advance.

CCW looking at it from the top. Turning the cap opposite the rotor rotation advances it.......Zoomy

Tire store??? Proctologist!!!

If you ever saw the tires on Andy's truck you would never have asked that question!!!!!!!!!!
I think Andy is a proctologist after see his recent post reply about resting a $dollar bill against his "exhaust pipe" to see the "movement" ie. if a valve is bad the bill will pop or get sucked back against the pipe!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehehehehe

LOL. Huck, you didn't notice that my front tires are actually brand new! Not junk yard new...fresh from Jegs.
Although, the right rear does seem to have less tread than the rest.
Next time you burn an exhaust valve...try the 'ole dollar bill test. It'll suprise you.
