6 lug to 5x115 question

Guys,
My truck is stock solid axle, drums all the way round. End of this year I will install the a complete IFS setup up front. I recently found a set of 5x115 rims that I couldn't pass on. Does anyone make an adapter to convert the front 6 lug to 5 lug?

If possible I would like to keep it as simple as possible at this point, because I will eventually put the Heidts front end up front. I just want to run the rims as soon as possible. The rear should be a simple axle swap to get the correct 5 lug.

Thanks for the help!

Re: 6 lug to 5x115 question

I think I would save my 328 bucks and put it towards the Heidts front end, just saying. What you spend on adapters to use for a few months would go a long ways towards swapping either the front or rear axle/suspension. That and even at 1.9 inches thick they will push most wheels out of the fender lip with stock suspension. Ok if you are going for that 70's look but not what is done now.

Re: 6 lug to 5x115 question

I thought all the heidts setups ran 5x4.5" or 5 x 4 3/4" bolt patterns? A 5x115mm is not the exact same as 5x4.5" the 4.5" ford bolt pattern equates to 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

Hate to see you buy the wrong adapters.

I would not pay $300 for adapters, especially if they push the rims out 2". I would just wait till the front end is swapped. The rear axles will need swapped either way.

Re: 6 lug to 5x115 question

i have seen a front disc brake conversion that changes the bolt pattern to 5x4.5" (115mm) that relatively cheap

Re: 6 lug to 5x115 question

just to clarify, as stated above 5x4.5" is 114.3mm not 115mm

Re: 6 lug to 5x115 question

Currently looking at the possibility of redrilling the front spindle hubs and brake drums to 5 on 5. There was a good write up on the H.A.M.B. for doing this.
