Re: Longbed vs Fleetside

Well that is not the best place to start but I agree that a local needing a little fixing is probably a cheaper solution.

Also inside the bed is the factory optional spare tire carrier. If in the future you decide to sell that please let me know.

Re: Longbed vs Fleetside

The items listed for "Fleetside" will fit either long or short fleetside beds. They are just the center section of the bed that has the wheelwell. You would just cut out that portion wether you were working on a shortbed or a longbed. The parts that are listed as "Longbed" will only fit a longbed. This means that the "lower front panel" that I assume is what youre looking at, will have the factory lip on the front and in the wheelwell. Thus making it a direct fit for a longbed. There are no parts that say for "longbed or fleetside" in the catalogs I have. I hope this clears it up a bit.

So,that's a long short step bed fleet, right? After all,it most like was a fleet order.

If I remove the steps from my shortbed stepside, is it still a stepside? LOL

The humor is wonderful.... loving it.. It's too bad you're so far away I have a bedside I sold the tail light section for a patch with that section in nice cond. I'm afraid shipping would kill any deal though

I would answer that, but think I'll just side step this whole topic. Not that I don't have a fleeting interest.

Have you tried Outback Truck Parts in Spring, Tx.? They usually have a couple of used beds laying around... maybe even find one for you if they don't have any.
