Re: 1972 cheynne super

I don't think that GM kept exact records on how many trucks were sold with any certain option. I don't think that a 72 Cheyenne super quite classifies as "rare", but they are less common than most trucks. You see them quite a bit here on this forum.

Re: 1972 cheynne super

The rareness on Supers depends a lot more on the actual model and total option content than a simple 1 of x many built. Loaded Cheyenne Super C10 LWB are more plentiful than the same as SWB with a big block. But when you step up, a K20 Cheyenne Super Custom Camper is difficult to find. Going to a C30 Longhorn Cheyenne Super is a rare truck just in the number built. Even more so if we are talking any stepside so equipped. In fact if anyone has ever seen a true 71-72 Cheyenne Super C30 stepside I'd like to know. At the other end we have trucks that are rare by content. The stripper Cheyenne Supers. They exist too or probably more correctly did.
At this point we still have no idea what series, model or wheelbase you have. So bring on some pictures and a SPID too.
