72 longbed driveshaft....

What junkyard driveshaft can I use for my longbed truck and a 350 turbo transmission??? I just pulled the three speed manual out to run a auto and the yolk on the old original is splined different... I know I could just switch the yolk out on the old one but I kind of want to go with a one piece design from another truck... Is there anything that will just bolt up ???

When I did this I didn't have to change anything, Not sure what the difference would be.

Junkyard shaft the correct length $50
Gas to go from yard to yard to see if their shaft hasn't been trashed by the forklift driver $50
New ujoints for the old shaft $40
Your new junkyard shaft needs to be an inch shorter because your engine mounts aren't the same as the person who gave you advice onlines engine mounts. Cut weld ballance. $60
Your useable junkyard shaft $200


Or you could take your measurements from your truck and your old trans yoke to a driveline shop and have a new shaft in a couple of hours for about $200

You can just swap out tranny yokes, but you should have your shaft reballanced before you use it.
