What a great product!
I want to share my good fortune of recently having used the PREVAL sprayer. Several members led me this direction. I recently had my 283 motor completely rebuilt. As you can see in this picture...this is what she looked like the day I picked it up from the engine shop.
See part 2 of this post for after picture. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

What a great product! PART 2
Using the PREVAL system and a three hours of my time...this is what it looks like now. It's beautiful! Thanks for all the words of wisdom from those who responded.

Re: What a great product! PART 2
In one sentence, the Preval Sprayer is a professional grade spray system that is for countless applications, disposable, recyclable, easy to clean and where no compressor is needed.

Re: What a great product! PART 2
I did the door jambs on a truck several years ago using a Preval, awesome results!

Preval is a pressurized can - a rattle can (without the rattle) mounted on top of a (used to be) glass container with whatever you're spraying in it. I guess for something like Chevy orange I don't see the advantage over a goo brand spray can. I suppose you can put a hardener in the Preval, that's an advantage. |

Speaking of Chevrolet orange, this is the best Chevrolet orange I've ever used. Here's a link, but shop around for the best price.
Seymour EN-48 Hi-Tech Engine Spray Paint, Chevy...

I didn't know they still made them! The first one I used was closer to 30 years ago. Now I feel old!

Re: What a great product! PART 2
they were popular for touchup for guys that don't have an air compressor. I haven't seen one for years.

Re: What a great product! PART 2
Got mine at the Home Depot. In addition, I used Eastwood's high temp/ceramic engine paint, adding activator to harden it and reduced it slightly for spraying purposes.
Went on great! I too have also used the PREVAL system on other body panels with good success. I understand that there are body/paint shops that have used them for years on small jobs. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: What a great product! PART 2
I thought they only sold them at tandy leather factory. For spraying on super sheen and dyes.
But I was browsing through O'reillys, and they were right there on the shelf! I would say check your local auto parts store, except a couple around me (autozone cough cough) are terribly under stocked, and have some of the worst service I've seen at a parts store. |
